What is truSculpt™ Body Sculpting?

You can reduce excess or unwanted fat in certain areas of your body comfortably and conveniently. The truSculpt™ body sculpting system is an innovative, radio frequency technology that aids in reducing adipose tissue in such fat-lingering spots as the flanks, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. The deep-tissue heating technology has been cleared by the FDA for reducing fat as well as cellulite. The truSculpt™ hand piece delivers a pulse of energy to each spot that is being treated.

Who is the Best Candidate for truSculpt™?

You are usually a good candidate for truSculpt™ if your body mass index or BMI is under 30, and you exhibit excess fat in certain spots on your body. The BMI is the gauge that is used to assess obesity and is derived from your weight and height. People with higher BMIs have a greater risk for illnesses, such as type 2 diabetes, respiratory difficulties, heart disease, and cancer.

Anyone with a BMI that is under 18.5 is considered underweight while individuals with BMIs in the range of 18.5 to 24.9 are considered to be of an average or normal weight. BMIs for overweight people are 25.0 to 29.9 while they are over 30 for anyone considered obese.

Therefore, the truSculpt™ system is basically designed for a healthy individual who is either an average size or who is 10 to 20 pounds overweight who wants to get rid of excess fat or cellulite.

What Conditions Prevent truSculpt™ Treatment?

You are not the right candidate for truSculpt™ treatments if you are wearing an internal defibrillator or cardiac pacemaker, have been diagnosed with tumors (both benign and malignant), or have a metallic implant, such as a joint replacement, in a spot with excess fat. Pregnant women are also prohibited from receiving truSculpt™ treatments.

Can truSculpt™ Be Used on Both Darker and Lighter Skin Tones?

The truSculpt™ body sculpting system can be used for all skin types.

How Long Do truSculpt™ Treatments Take?

Sessions take about an hour.

How Many truSculpt™ Treatments are Required?

Depending on the areas of the body that require treatment, two to four sessions may be required; each spaced between four to eight weeks apart.

When Does the Patient Begin to See Results from the truSculpt™ Treatment Process?

The truSculpt™ system works by delivering radio frequency (RF) energy to adipose tissue, using the immune system to break down cells of fat. As the process can take from one to three months, visible results won’t be attained until after that time.

Should Special Preparations Be Made Before the truSculpt™ Treatment?

No special prepping is needed before treatment. However, you should remove any type of jewelry before the therapy. No topical anesthetic is used, nor is any cooling gel needed during the therapy.

Is There Any Downtime After truSculpt™?

Because the truSculpt™ system is non-invasive, you can resume daily activities after the procedure.

How Much Does truSculpt™ Cost?

During your consultation, truSculpt™ treatment costs will be discussed. As each patient’s dermatological needs can vary, the expenses involved can also differ.

We offer financing through CareCredit® and Alphaeon™Credit. We will be happy to assist in filling out the necessary application, or you may apply on the CareCredit® website prior to your appointment.
