What is Plastic Surgery?
Plastic surgery, which is also known as cosmetic surgery, refers to any procedure designed to improve the appearance of one’s face or body. These procedures may involve contouring and reshaping certain areas of the body, or lifting and smoothing facial skin to give it a younger, tighter appearance. Once thought of as something that only the rich and famous pursued, cosmetic surgery is now being widely accepted among people from all walks of life.
Am I an Appropriate Candidate for Plastic Surgery?
Many forms of plastic surgery require the use of anesthesia, which means you must be in good health and not have any underlying medical issues that could complicate the procedure. As such, those who are taking prescription medications or have certain types of allergies may not be able to tolerate some procedures. Those individuals may be able to undergo one of our minimally-invasive medspa procedures instead. During your consultation, Dr. Groves will collect a health history to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure(s) you desire.
