Ultherapy® in Macon, GA
Many of our patients are concerned with lines on more than one area of the body or face. These patients often choose Ultherapy® from the Georgia Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery to provide them with smoother skin without surgery. Since 2009, our clinic, led by Dr. Joshua R. Groves, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, has helped men and women in Macon, Warner Robins, Houston County, Bibb County and the surrounding area improve their face and body through Ultherapy® treatments.
What is Ultherapy®?
Ultherapy® is an FDA-approved method of lifting the skin by using ultrasound waves. As such, it is a non-invasive procedure for firming and tightening the skin that does not require any anesthesia or incisions. A special handpiece is used to deliver ultrasound waves to the targeted area. This tightens the skin while stimulating the production of collagen, a substance that is responsible for firm skin and decreases with age.
Benefits of Ultherapy®
With Ultherapy®, you can effectively firm and tone problem areas such as the brow, chin, neck, and décolletage. The safe and effective treatment is performed comfortably in our office in under 60 minutes and does not require you to significantly alter your schedule after the procedure.
Requirements for Ultherapy®
To be a good candidate for Ultherapy®, you should have healthy skin with no open sores or lesions.
Is Ultherapy® Right for Me?
Ultherapy® may be a good choice for you if you have moderate to severe sagging skin on your neck, brow, chin, or chest area, and do not wish to undergo surgery to correct it.
How Involved is the Ultherapy® Procedure?
One of the best aspects of the Ultherapy® procedure is that it is completely non-invasive. You simply relax comfortably while Dr. Groves applies a handpiece that delivers ultrasound waves to the targeted area. Many patients take a nap while the procedure is being performed, and awaken feeling and looking refreshed.
How Long is the Recovery After Ultherapy®?
The skin in the treatment area may feel tender and slightly red for a few days. Some patients also experience light bruising. Any swelling or soreness you do experience can easily be alleviated through the use of over-the-counter medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
How Much Does Ultherapy® Cost?
Some patients will require more than one treatment to achieve the ideal results. The number of treatments that Dr. Groves recommends will affect your cost. During your consultation, we will discuss the cost, and go over our payment options to find one that best suits your needs.
Some procedures may be covered by medical insurance. Our staff is experienced in matters pertaining to insurance, and will work with your carrier to get you maximum coverage. In the event a procedure is not covered, we offer financing through CareCredit® and Alphaeon™Credit. We will be happy to assist in filling out the necessary application, or you may apply on the CareCredit® website prior to your appointment. We work with SunTrust Bank to offer low, fixed interest rate loans to patients with good to excellent credit for all cosmetic procedures, and also accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard®, Visa®, American Express®, and Discover® Card.
